Also at Number 62, we completed a full bathroom renovation. We started by removing all the old sanitary ware, tiles and fittings.
All electrics and pipework were fully replaced which allowed us to redesign the bathroom layout. Due to the existing walls not being level, we decided to use a low-profile metal framework to make the new bathroom walls. Once this was completed, we then boarded the entire bathroom in a waterproof board prior to tiling.
Due to the size of the bathroom, we opted for the same 600 x 600mm porcelain tiles for the floor and the walls. This gives the illusion of a bigger space rather than using smaller tiles on both surfaces.
On this particular project the client opted for a separate walk-in shower and bath. We installed a waterfall shower head and handset. For these types of showers, we also like to integrate a shower niche into the design which provides adequate storage for any toiletries. The shower controls have been purposefully placed directly inside the shower door for ease of operation.
Wall hung sanitary ware was installed for a modern and sleek look. To complete the bathroom a full-length heated towel rail and bluetooth mirrored cabinet were also fitted.
